Bu çalışma (İngilizce orijinali Ocak 2013'te yayınlanmıştır), Türkiye ve Ermenistan arasındaki çok boyutlu anlaşmazlığa ışık tutmakta ve iki ülke arasındaki yakınlaşma ve uzlaşma yolundaki en önemli engelleri analiz etmektedir. En önemli sorun, Osmanlı Devleti tarafından 1915’te Ermenilere karşı yapılan eylemlerin bir soykırım olarak tanımlanıp tanımlanmayacağı meselesidir. Bu tarihsel tartışma, bölgenin stratejik ve jeopolitik bağlamına da tesir etmektedir. Dağlık Karabağ bölgesi üzerinde Ermenistan ve Azerbaycan arasında devam eden gerginlik sayesinde Ermeni-Türk ilişkileri daha bir karmaşık hale gelmiştir.
